Sworn or not sworn, that's the question
A sworn (certified) translation is made by a certified translator and is provided with a signature, stamp and statement that the translation is true, complete and reflects the source text. A certified translator has been sworn in at the district court. However, it’s a common misunderstanding that a sworn translation is also a translation of high quality. Many good translators never take the trouble to be sworn in, and a sworn translator has certain qualifications but does not necessarily excel in creative writing. In short: a good translation is a good translation, sworn or not. And this is where Hestia Communicatie comes in.
